T-Shirt Design Contest
Join us in celebrating our culture by designing a t-shirt for the ‘Onipa‘a Peace March 2025! Open to all elementary through high school students, this contest is your chance to showcase your creativity and aloha for Hawai’i.
Calling All Creative Keiki
The theme for theʻOnipaʻa Peace March 2025 is “Kupukupu.” Kupukupu means to grow, emerge forth (as in knowledge), and multiply. It is also the name of an abundant Native fern. Please read this Google Doc, in both Hawaiian and English, for prompts and more information.

Winning Student's classroom period (including teacher) will get free 'Onipa'a Shirts distributed on Monday, January 6, 2024 and one $150 gift card for classroom supplies.
1st Prize
Student Wins $450 Cash
2nd Prize
Winning Student's classroom period teacher will get one $100 gift card for classroom supplies.
Student Wins $300 Cash
3rd Prize
Winning Student's classroom period teacher will get one $50 gift card for classroom supplies.
Student Wins $150 Cash
Instructions:
Use markers or any other tools (except crayons) on size paper 11 ½ in x 8 in
Add your name, teacher name and classroom period on your entry submission.
Upload entries on kalahuihawaii.net, or email them to

There is no color limit.
Entries won’t be considered without parental release forms.

Design Effort 1-5 points
Use of Theme 1-5 points
Color and Pattern 1-5 points
Overall Effect 1-5 points
*If there is a tie, it will be put to a vote by the judges.
Timeline:
Deadline: October 15, 2024
Send to the Judges by October 18, 2024
Decision: December 4, 2024
