125th Commemoration of the Overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy January 17, 2018

After taking a break in December 2017, Ka Lāhui Hawai‘i Political Action Committee (KPAC) participated in the Onipa’a:  Ma Hope Makou O Lili’ulani March and had an informational booth on the palace ground commemorating the 125th years since the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Nation (see flyer and pics below).  KPAC members donated time, efforts and money for this momentous event.

Kanaka Maoli Priorities & Navigating the Legislature Workshops January 30, 2018

Later that month, KPAC presented the Kanaka Maoli Priorities to the State Legislature on January 30, 2018.  The priorities presented were normalizing Hawaiian Language, Saving the Pueo’s habitat, Foreign Investment, and Criminal Justice Reform.  A big mahalo to Senator Shimabukuro for sponsoring the room.  Also on January 30, 2018 KPAC sponsored a Navigating the Legislature Workshop at Stevenson Intermediate (see flyers below).
